In 2009, PROSOLIA performed this remarkable facility to provide electricity to the Regional Hospital of Bafatá with over 250,000 potential users. This pioneering installation was the first hospital in West Africa operating with a 100% of solar energy, and the largest solar installation of Guinea-Bissau.

This solar system has been of great impact on the region as there was no electricity previously or sufficient funds to buy oil, operate an old electric generator and use the operating room.
